Design and realization of a numerically controlled flanging machine for small series with maximum adaptability to different types of components in production.
The flange machine is composed of 5 motors for the implementation of the flanging blade and 4 motors for the implementation of the blank holder. The flanging blade and the blank holder are the mechanical components to be replaced to adapt the machine to the specific component to be produced. The machine is managed by a control software that simplifies the parameterization of the press and manages the acquisition of all data.
A tool that does not require a press.
Electric actuation, to allow more precise tuning, through control in force or in position.
Process controlled in feedback, with the possibility of introducing more sophisticated control logics.
The availability of direct measures on the process allows for production monitoring, control of production dispersion, the acquisition of data useful for feeding machine learning algorithms for predictive maintenance.
