Main target

Combined modelling using two different solvers, one explicit (Radioss/Ls-Dyna) and the other multibody (Madymo), to realize a predictive model about biomechanics performance in side impact.


  • Finite element modelling of components through explicit solver for structural analysis, i.e. door trim ans seat
  • Modelling of components through multibody solver, i.e. dummy, airbag and belt
  • Input deck coupling through specific communication cards


Hybrid model combines both solvers advantages. The accuracy and physical behavior of explicit solver with speed and robustness of multibody components, especially the rich validated dummy database. Those things make modelling strongly predictive about physical behavior.
